About Us
One editor, one byline, and a set of numbers that come out of a funded account rather than a press release. Here is who writes this, how it is checked, and how we get paid.
Who writes this
Rowan Marsden
Payments & Verification Editor · writing about payments since 2018
Covers deposits, withdrawals and account checks for New Zealand players. Every payment figure on this site is taken from a funded account, not copied off a landing page.
Every page on this site is written and checked by one person. That is deliberate. A single byline means there is somebody to hold responsible when a number is wrong, instead of a nameless "editorial team" that never has to answer for anything.
The focus is narrow on purpose: deposits, withdrawals, verification and the things that go wrong around them. It is the part of an online casino that most affects a New Zealand player and the part most guides copy from each other without checking. Game reviews and bonus hype are easy to write and easy to get wrong; a withdrawal timing you have actually measured is neither.
Three dates sit in the byline at the top of every page. Published is when the page first went live. Updated is the last substantive edit to the content. Checked is when the figures on it were last verified against the live site — the one that matters most, and the one most sites do not show you at all.
The testing protocol
Payment claims are the reason this site exists, so they are the ones tested rather than repeated. The protocol is deliberately dull and repeatable.
Deposits on a real account
Each rail is funded at least once from a New Zealand account in NZD, at the stated minimum, to confirm the floor is what the cashier claims. Rails we cannot test from New Zealand are marked as operator-stated rather than measured.
Withdrawals timed end to end
The clock starts when the request is submitted and stops when the money is usable — in the bank, in the wallet, in the exchange. Not when the casino marks it approved, which is the number operators prefer to quote.
Medians, not best cases
Where several payouts have been measured on one rail, the published range covers the middle of them and notes the outliers separately. A single fast payout is an anecdote, not a withdrawal time.
Verification run properly
ID and proof of address submitted the way a player would, with the turnaround recorded, including the times a document was bounced back and why.
Licence read at source
Operator name and licence details are taken from the casino's own footer and checked against the licensing authority's register, never from a badge image or another affiliate site.
Rechecked on a schedule
Payment pages monthly, ownership at every review, status more often. The date on the page is the date of the last check, not the date it was written.
What we score, and how much it counts
Six criteria, weighted. Payouts and licensing dominate deliberately: a huge game library is worth nothing if you cannot get paid.
Measured end to end, per rail, with the weekend penalty counted rather than excused.
Who licenses it, whether the number checks out, and what recourse a New Zealand player realistically has.
Local rails, NZD support, and whether the floors are honest about what they are.
Wagering multiples, expiry, maximum bet clauses and how clearly the traps are signposted.
Response times to real questions at New Zealand hours, not at European lunchtime.
Outage frequency and how gracefully the site fails, tracked on the status page.
How this site makes money
The short version
Links to the casino are affiliate links. If you follow one, register and play, this site is paid a commission. You pay nothing extra and your terms are identical to arriving directly.
That is worth saying plainly, because it is the incentive that shapes every affiliate site you will ever read, including this one.
What the money does not buy
- The operator does not see pages before publication
- No finding is removed on request
- Withdrawal times are not rounded down to look better
- Deposit-only rails are labelled as such, even where it costs a sign-up
This is a guide, not the casino. We do not hold accounts, balances or funds, and we cannot release a withdrawal, lift a restriction or verify your documents. Anything to do with your account has to go to the operator's own support. If gambling has stopped being fun, Gambling Helpline New Zealand is free, confidential and open around the clock on 0800 654 655.
How we handle mistakes
Verify the claim
Anything reported as wrong is re-tested against the live site before it is changed. Sometimes the site moved; sometimes we were wrong. Both get fixed the same way.
Fix and date it
A substantive correction moves the "Updated" date in the byline. Nothing meaningful is edited silently, because a page that changes without a date is a page you cannot trust.
Check the neighbours
A wrong limit rarely appears on one page. When one figure changes, every page that quotes it is checked in the same pass — payments, minimums and withdrawals all move together.
What we compare it against
A withdrawal time means nothing on its own. These are the reference points used when judging whether a figure is good, ordinary or poor for a New Zealand player.
| Reference brand | Why it is in the set | Licensed by | Fastest payout rail |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7Bit Casino | The subject of this site | Curaçao | Crypto, 1–6 hours |
| PlayAmo | Same operator — a like-for-like control | Curaçao | Crypto |
| BitStarz | Different operator, similar audience and platform era | Curaçao | Crypto |
| SkyCity Online Casino | The New Zealand household name players compare against | Malta | Bank transfer |
| TAB NZ | Domestically licensed benchmark for consumer protection | New Zealand | Bank transfer |
Ownership relationships between these brands are set out on the sister sites page, with a checker so you can confirm them yourself.
How this site has changed

| Dates | Publication date only | Published, updated and checked, shown separately |
| Payment figures | Taken from the operator | Measured from a funded account where possible |
| Affiliate status | Mentioned in the small print | Stated on this page and linked from every section |
Getting in touch
Something on this site is wrong
Send it to the contact details in the footer of this page, with the page name and the figure you think is out of date. Corrections are re-tested and the byline date moves when one lands.
Something about your account
We cannot help — there is no access to your account from here. Use the casino's own 24/7 live chat, which is the fastest route and the only one that can actually see your balance.
